Vintage Journal pages

Hello lovelies, hope you are staying safe and well? Tonight I am sharing some more pages from my vintage journal.

Here I have used these beautiful papers from Raspberry Road DesignsMy Porch Prints
and Vectoria Designs. I also found this stunning vintage photo which was free to use.

For this page, I have used the same papers as before along with a Tim Holtz paper doll and a TH number stamp. The script stamp is from Kaisercraft. I have also adhered a wonderful vintage French invoice from The Old Design shop and have also added some Grunge number labels.

Thanks so much for stopping by, see you on the next one! Hugs, Zowie x

Thank you for reminding me what butterflies feel like!

Hello lovelies, hope you are well! There's a new craft challenge over at TTCRD so today I am sharing my DT creation! Our sponsor is The Project Bin; here is a little more information about them:

The Project Bin was started because it's founder, Denise Storck (a long-time stamper and paper-crafter) couldn't find a stamp that said 'you are awesome sauce' so she decided to make her own! One thing led to another and now her small business fills a niche in the card making industry for unique word art sentiments in the highest quality photopolymer clear stamps, made in the U.S.A

To make my card, I started with this fabulous Kinda- sorta clear stamp and using a clear block and Black soot distress ink, stamped the image onto a piece of kraft card stock. Next, I lightly distressed the edges using a distressing tool and Ground espresso distress oxide. I have also used these gorgeous papers from my stash, which I distressed using the same technique to achieve an old distressed vintage look.

Once all layers of paper had been adhered to my card base, I then lightly spread some white gesso in random places over the main stamped image. I let this dry naturally, then adhered that on to the centre of the card. I have also used a Tim Holtz stitch stamp to create a sewed look on the paper.

Finally, I fussy cut a vintage clipart flower, distressed the edges using Ground espresso distress ink and adhered that also to the bottom corner of my card. Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs, Zowie xx

Through The Craft Room Door Challenge

Hello lovely friends, hope you are well! Today there is a new challenge over at 'Through the craft room door'. The sponsors this week are Createful Heart Design and here is a little bio about them:

Hello and welcome to our store, Createful Heart Design! My husband and I create cute and wonderful digital images - for all of your card making, scrapbooking etc.. Just print and color in by hand or we have a few pre-colored images available, soon to offer more!

The prize of this challenge is four beautiful digital stamps from their Zibbet store.

Here is an art journal page that I have made for this challenge using the wonderful Vintage butterfly air mail digital stamp. When I saw this, I knew that I wanted to make something vintage and grungy!

To colour the Butterfly, I have used a selection of brown tone Faber Castel pencils.

I have used a selection of Royal Langnickel Crafters choice acrylic paint in almond, raw umber and burnt umber to create the background of my art journal page. I also used a variety of mixed media stamps along with Archival jet black ink.

Finally, I printed out the quote 'blessed are the curious, for they shall have adventures' and added it to the page.

Thanks so much for stopping by, see you on the next post, hugs Zowie xx
