Welcome Fall

Hello lovely friends, hope you are well!

Today I am sharing an art tag which has been inspired by the beautiful colours of Fall
(or Autumn, as we call it here in the U.K!) I just love how Mother Nature changes from season to season, she is truly wondrous!

Here I have used paper from my own Craft Stash and this gorgeous vintage image.

I have also used these burnt orange Botanicals and a piece of torn
corrugated cardboard. I also printed out this sentiment and adhered it to my tag.

I wanted to create a few layers on my tag, so here I have used a vintage library card and ticket stub. All edges have been distressed with Ground Espresso Distress Oxide.

Here are a couple of close ups of my tag.

Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to visit, I really do appreciate it,

hugs, Zowie xx

A Christmas Postcard

Hello lovely friends, hope you are well!

I am so excited for Christmas this year, a little early I know! But it will be extra magical this year, as I have become a nana for a second time! I now have two grand-babies as my eldest daughter gave birth to another beautiful baby boy, eight weeks ago. My grown up children are in their Twenties and my youngest is Thirteen. I miss Father Christmas coming to our house on Christmas eve, so having the Grand boys, I can still keep the magic of Christmas very much alive!

Today I have made a vintage Christmas art tag, which I wanted to share with you.

I created my tag using beautiful papers from the First Edition wild at heart paper pad and a digital Music sheet along with this gorgeous Reindeer postcard image

Here I have used Kraft card stock along with two Reindeer metal dies, which I distressed with Vintage Photo Distress ink. I also added white dots using a Uni Posca white paint pen.

Thanks ever so much for stopping by, I appreciate your visit!

Hugs, Zowie xx

Nature pocket card

Hello dear friends, hope you are well!

Today, I am sharing with you a nature inspired pocket card that I recently made, inspired by the lovely and extremely talented Stacy Zimmerman Hutchinson from Tattered Nest Designs

To start, I took a blank Kraft envelope and covered all sides with these beautiful digital papers from the Secret Garden set 02 and Secret Garden set 04

For the inside of the card, I created some pockets to store my art tags HERE  which I made for this project. Here I have hand-stitched a beautiful vintage photo booth photograph to give some added interest and I also added a vintage stamp and some Botanicals.

I have adhered some music note tissue paper to this pocket, which I also used on my tags to match the theme.

These beautiful Botanicals have been inked with Ground Espresso Distress Oxide as have all the edges of the pocket card and tags.

I have also used these beautiful Vintage bird illustrations as tags and as a focal image for the front of my pocket card.

Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate your visit!

A wonderful life

Hello dear friends, hope you are having a lovely day/evening where you are in the world! Here in the UK, the nights are drawing in earlier and the weather is getting much cooler. Now that September is here, Fall/Autmn is soon to be upon us.

For this tag, I wanted to use a monochromatic colour scheme, with a touch of colour. Here I have used paper from my stash, including some wood design wallpaper. I love using wallpaper in my creations, I think it adds a different texture and look. Music note tissue paper has also been added to match the colour scheme.

I have used this delightful photo booth image, a black and white botanical which I adhered on to my tag along with a sentiment.

This art tag has also been included along with other tags that I created for my nature inspired pocket card, which you can find HERE

Thanks so much for stopping by to take a look, I really do appreciate your visit!

Love nature - vintage tags

Hello lovely friends, hope you are well!

Today I am sharing a selection of nature tags that I have recently made, along with these I have also created a pocket card for these to go into. You can find that HERE I want to give credit to a lovely lady and amazing artist called Tracy over at Tattered nest designs
who has really inspired me to make these.

For this tag I have used digital paper in neutral tones, along with a Tim Holtz
Bingo embossing folder.

Here I have used a Tim Holtz French script stamp along with Ground Espresso Distress Oxide, some music note washi tape and a fussy cut vintage wasp image. I have also used a honeycomb die along with rose gold wallpaper to achieve this look.

To complete this, I adhered a beautiful vintage label and some fussy cut Botanicals, all layers have been distressed with Ground Espresso distress oxide.

***************

For this tag, I have altered a Tim Holtz vintage Bingo card.

Yellow butterflies and a darling bird image along with a torn music sheet have been used to alter the card. Ground Espresso Oxide has also been used on all layers.

Thanks so much for stopping by, I really do appreciate it. Please leave a comment so that I can say 'Hello' to you!

For this Months challenge, I have made an art tag that represents Autumn as well as Thanksgiving. Here in the UK we sadly don't celebrate Thanksgiving, but that doesn't stop me from being so grateful for the good things in my life, my four beautiful and amazing children, my two adorable Grandbabies and good friends that I have made through my love of art and crafting.

Here is a look at my tag:

Using the Mood board, I wanted to create a tag that had an Autumnal colour scheme.

Here I have used these beautiful digital papers from the Give thanks paper collection and Autumn whispers collection

I have also used these super cute photo both photographs from Art by Heather on Etsy.

I have printed these gorgeous yellow botanicals and a sentiment which is perfect for Thanksgiving. Ground Espresso distress oxide has been used on all layers.
