'Normal will never be beautiful'

Hello lovely friends,
hope you are well and that
your Monday has been a good day!

I haven't made anything for almost a week,
that's very unusual for me, so tonight
I decided to sit down and craft!

And here is the result, an artist trading card.

I just love this old photo booth
image and had to use it for this project.

This lady has such a fabulous smile and so
I chose the words
'Normal will never be beautiful'
I thought they fitted perfectly!

In a world where there seems to be
so much attention on how we should look
or how we should be, I wanted
this to reflect that it's ok to be different
and it's ok to be yourself.

Back to crafting now!

See you on the next post

Steampunk Angel collage tag

Hi again friends!

Here is a collage art tag that I have
just finished making.

I have used the Madame Payrauds paper collection.

I printed out this beautiful steampunk angel and
adhered her on to my collage tag.

I have also typed and printed out
the words 'celebrate your uniqueness'
and adhered them on to the collage.

I love that saying and I thought it fitted
perfectly!

Finally, I added a butterfly and adhered
a faceted green heart cabachon.

Thanks for stopping by,

see you on the next post

Vintage card

Hello again friends!

Here is a vintage card that I have made today.

I'm in love with the papers and the darling
LaBlanche image.

The papers I have used are from
the Madame Payrauds collection by
Docrafts Papermania.

Here, I have used a LaBlanche
vintage epoxy domed sticker,
lace ribbon, cheesecloth, white mulberry roses
and a metal clock charm embellishment.

Finally, I adhered some fussy cut butterflies
to match the colour scheme.

Thanks once again for stopping by,

Good luck card

Hello lovely friends,
hope you are having a great day!

My friend has been successful in getting
a new job and starts working
there this week.

I'm so happy for her!

 I made this shabby chic good luck card
to celebrate her happy news.

I have used Craft & You papers to
decorate the entire card and adhered
one of my handmade lilac coffee filter peony flowers.

Vintage lollipop card

Hi again friends,

Here is my first lollipop
card that I have made.

I really enjoyed making it.
They are a little time consuming,
but the results are stunning.

Once you have made the base, the
possibilities of decorating are endless!

I have had this beautiful vintage image
for quite some time now and
it fitted perfectly for this project.

I will be making more of these cards
in the next few weeks and will hopefully
be doing a tutorial.

Have a great weekend.

See you on the next post,

Shabby chic altered clothes pegs

Hello friends,
hope you are well!

Here are some shabby chic clothes pegs
that I have altered,

I have really enjoyed this project,
it's super easy and the results
are super cute!

To create these, I took some plain
wooden pegs and adhered
this beautiful pink paper
to the front of the pegs, using
mod podge.

Next, I adhere vintage lace and
cheese cloth to the bottom of
the pegs.

Finally, I added a beautiful pink mulberry rose
and the word love, that I printed out using my
home printer.

Thanks once again for
stopping by.

Shabby coffee filter peony flower tutorial

Hello lovely friends,
hope you are well!

Here is my very first tutorial!
I've been making these wonderful
dreamy, shabby coffee filter peonies over
the last couple of days and wanted to
share how I made them.

Materials:

* Coffee filter papers
* Distress markers
* Tattered florals die
* Paint brush
* Scissors
* White or clear glue
* Heat gun
* Stylus

Here I have used Distress markers, Dusty concord,
Aged mahogany, Rusty hinge and
Worn lipstick.

Using the coffee filter paper, cut 4 layers
of the small flower and 6 layers
of the medium size flower.

Next, add water to the stack of flowers.

While they are still wet, add some watercolour to
the centre of each flower.
Distress markers are wonderful for water colouring.
Working on a craft mat and using a paint brush
mix water along with the preferred
distress marker to achieve this colour.

Next, use the heat gun to dry the flowers.

Then, cut a slit between each petal.

Run the stylus around the edge
of the petals to curl them.

Make two stacks of medium flowers
with three layers each.
Using some glue, add the 2 stacks of
flowers together and let dry.
Next, glue the four smaller flowers together and
adhere to the centre.

Finally, ruffle the layers to give a fuller look.

Thanks for reading,
see you on the next post.
