Hello lovely friends,
hope you are well!
Here is my very first tutorial!
I've been making these wonderful
dreamy, shabby coffee filter peonies over
the last couple of days and wanted to
share how I made them.
Materials:
* Coffee filter papers
* Distress markers
* Tattered florals die
* Paint brush
* Scissors
* White or clear glue
* Heat gun
* Stylus
Here I have used Distress markers, Dusty concord,
Aged mahogany, Rusty hinge and
Worn lipstick.
Using the coffee filter paper, cut 4 layers
of the small flower and 6 layers
of the medium size flower.
Next, add water to the stack of flowers.
While they are still wet, add some watercolour to
the centre of each flower.
Distress markers are wonderful for water colouring.
Working on a craft mat and using a paint brush
mix water along with the preferred
distress marker to achieve this colour.
Next, use the heat gun to dry the flowers.
Then, cut a slit between each petal.
Run the stylus around the edge
of the petals to curl them.
Make two stacks of medium flowers
with three layers each.
Using some glue, add the 2 stacks of
flowers together and let dry.
Next, glue the four smaller flowers together and
adhere to the centre.
Finally, ruffle the layers to give a fuller look.
Thanks for reading,
see you on the next post.
Hugs
Zowie xx
