Vintage Entomology tags

Hello lovely friends, hope you are well and looking forward to your weekend! Today I am sharing with you a few vintage Entomology tags that I have made.

I found these free fabulous clipart images on Pinterest and decided to use them in my creations.

To create these, I first started with some kraft card stock and adhered these beautiful papers from Manu Design studio and Raspberry road designs over on Etsy. I love these paper collections, they are so great to include in your creations!

I have used both sheets of paper on all three tags and distressed the edges with a distressing tool and walnut stain distress ink.

Next, I then tore some book pages, inked the edges with walnut stain distress ink and adhered them to the middle of the tag. To finish I adhered the clipart images and printed out the words 'Exhibit A,B and C' and adhered those to the bottom of the tags.

Thanks so much for stopping by, see you on the next one! Hugs, Zowie xx

Bella Rose Garden Collection

Hello lovely friends, hope you are well! Today I am sharing my DT creation for Linda Isreal. I have made a vintage envelope pocket and tag using the stunning Bella Rose Garden collection.

I created this envelope pocket using a plain brown envelope and adhered these beautiful papers from the Bella Rose Garden collection. I have distressed all edges using a Tim Holtz paper distressor and Vintage Photo distress ink to keep my project old and vintage looking.

I also made a tag to fit inside the pocket using co-ordinating paper from the same collection.

Here I have made a small floral collage using baby pink Sweetheart blossom and  white Cherry blossom. I also added some cheese cloth, white pearl stamens and die cut leaves from M&C Boutique.

Finally, I added a sweet pink butterfly from the collection and printed out the word 'love letters'.

Thanks so much for stopping by, see you on the next post. Hugs Zowie xx

Through The Craft Room Door Challenge

Hello lovely friends, hope you are well! Today there is a new challenge over at 'Through the craft room door'. The sponsors this week are Createful Heart Design and here is a little bio about them:

Hello and welcome to our store, Createful Heart Design! My husband and I create cute and wonderful digital images - for all of your card making, scrapbooking etc.. Just print and color in by hand or we have a few pre-colored images available, soon to offer more!

The prize of this challenge is four beautiful digital stamps from their Zibbet store.

Here is an art journal page that I have made for this challenge using the wonderful Vintage butterfly air mail digital stamp. When I saw this, I knew that I wanted to make something vintage and grungy!

To colour the Butterfly, I have used a selection of brown tone Faber Castel pencils.

I have used a selection of Royal Langnickel Crafters choice acrylic paint in almond, raw umber and burnt umber to create the background of my art journal page. I also used a variety of mixed media stamps along with Archival jet black ink.

Finally, I printed out the quote 'blessed are the curious, for they shall have adventures' and added it to the page.

Thanks so much for stopping by, see you on the next post, hugs Zowie xx

Dapper dogs! - a new addition!

Hello lovely friends, hope you are well! Today I am sharing with you two vintage tags that I have made. I love doggos and have always wanted one to complete my family, but circumstances with where I was living, did not allow me to have any pets. But I am excited to announce that there is now a new addition to my family. Our gorgeous Princess came to live with us three weeks ago and she has settled in just perfectly! We have so much love and time to give her and I just adore her! Please scroll down if you would like to see more photographs of her..

 Our newest family member.

I found these fabulous vintage images and have used them to make two art tags.

I have used this lovely paper from Raspberry Road Designs

I started with two plain white tags cut from basic cardstock and adhered the paper using double-sided tape. I distressed the edges of the paper using a distressing tool and Ground Espresso distress oxide.

Next, I added some corrugated cardboard, distressed with ground espresso distress oxide. The main image has been adhered with double-sided tape and pop dots.

Finally, I fussy cut some Bumble Bee clipart and added them to the tag.

Here are some more photos of my doggo:
