I have loved the stars too fondly...

Hello lovely friends, hope you are well! Today I am sharing my DT creation for the Crafts Dreamy anything goes challenge.

Here I have created an altered envelope. I wanted to make something completely different this time! I have used the beautiful Great Horned Owl digital stamp set from our proud sponsors:

To start, I took a small brown paper envelope and adhered these beautiful papers onto the front. I have also distressed the edges with Walnut Stain Distress ink.

These gorgeous coffee toned papers are from Manu design studio over on Etsy.

I also added this wooden texture designer paper from  ClaireTale.

Once all layers had been adhered on to the front of the envelope, I then used a star layering stencil along with Decoart Media modelling paste.

Here is a close up photo of this delightful pre-coloured Horned Owl digital stamp.

Here is a video on my Youtube channel.

Next, I fussy cut the quote stamp that came in the same digital set and inked the edges using Walnut stain distress ink.

To finish my project, I added the pre-coloured leaf digital stamp. Thanks so much for stopping by. See you on the next post, hugs Zowie xx

I believe in Father Christmas!

Hello lovely friends, hope you are well! I just love the holidays and I am getting so excited to share the festivities with my wonderful grown up children and my two adorable Grandsons. It is baby George's first ever Christmas and little Alfie is three, so the magic and wonderment of Father Christmas is a big thing for him! I Cannot wait to take him to see Santa! Having the Grandbabies brings back many fond memories of sharing the magic of Christmas with my own children when they were younger. And now I get to live a new chapter in my life, as a Nana, by making even more wonderful Christmas memories with them too....

Today I am sharing with you a vintage Christmas card that I have created for the
Crafts Dreamy Challenge Here is Decembers Mood Board, inspired by Winter and the magic of Snowfall. The Mood board isn't compulsory, but there for inspiration. I have used some of the colours on the Board to make my Father Christmas tag. I love the look of the Red and Mossy Green colour tones and the snow covered solitary wooden bench also inspired me to use wood patterned paper.

Here I have used a mixture of scrapbook paper and corrugated cardboard to achieve a very vintage Christmas look. The plaid is a single sheet from The Heritage Christmas paper collection and the Wood design paper is from the First Edition Wild at heart collection. I have also used this gorgeous Vintage Santa Claus  image.

I adhered all layers of paper on to my card using double sided tape. The edges of the paper and image have been distressed using the edge of my scissors and Walnut stain Distress ink, so that It achieves an old and frayed look.

Next, I made a chocolate poinsettia using a Tattered lace Poinsettia die and Crafters Companion Centura pearlised card. I also added some Christmas red glitter stamens to the centre of the poinsettia to add a bit of sparkle. I also adhered small wooden numbers to the bottom of my card. A variety of Tim Holtz Holiday Greens dies have been adhered underneath the Poinsettia.

Here is a close-up of this beautiful vintage Santa Claus image; isn't he just fabulous!

Dreaming of Christmas

Hello lovely friends, hope you are well!

Today I am sharing with you a vintage Christmas tag that I have created for the

I cannot believe we are already into the month of November and soon Christmas will be upon us...I am so excited for the holidays! Here is the lovely Mood Board that inspired me to make my Winter Wonderland tag.

To make this, I chose some beautiful wood design wallpaper (wallpaper is really great to add to any of your craft projects; it gives a totally different finished look!) This was a free sample from my local high street shop Wilkinsons. I have also used some grey snowflake patterned paper from the Love to Craft  'vintage Noelle' paper stash. (it looks like it has a slight purplish tone to it in this light, so apologies for that.) I also dug out some Snowflake and Christmas tree die cuts that I blinged up last year, using Decoart crystal glamour dust.

Here, I adhered them to the bottom of the tag along with some frayed cheese cloth and some pieces of sisal.

Next, I used this gorgeous vintage image and I also adhered the snowflakes to the top right hand corner of my tag.

A wonderful Wizard.....Halloween and all things Magick!

Hello lovely friends, hope you are well!
Today I am sharing my Design Team project that I have made for this months Crafts Dreamy  challenge. I love Halloween and I am such a huge Harry Potter fan, so what could be better than combining both to translate into a craft project! I had lots of fun making this art tag and I have used elements of the Mood Board that I have also created for the CD challenge.

Here I have used these gorgeous digital papers from the Steampunk Ephemera set.

This wonderful Wizard vintage image has been printed onto linen card stock to give more texture and interest. I have distressed it using Ground espresso distress oxide.

Here I have also printed out some free Halloween digital clipart onto linen card stock and adhered those to my tag. Finally I added a sticker from Tim Holtz Halloween clipping stickers set...It fitted perfectly!
