Vintage Christmas bauble

Hello lovely friends,
hope you are well!

I'm really in the festive spirit at the moment
and so looking forward to Christmas this year.

Here in the UK we don't celebrate Thanksgiving,
but I always use the opportunity at Christmas to
reflect on how thankful I am to be spending time with
and celebrating the holidays with my amazing children.

I realise every day, how lucky I am to be their momma,
and how they fill my life with such joy and happiness.

Now, the three oldest are young adults and the youngest,
twelve years old, it makes you realise just how fast they
grow up and how life passes us by so quickly.

I made this vintage bauble using an image as on
one of my previous tags. I love it so much and
it fitted perfectly for this art piece.

There's something so magical about a
Victorian Father Christmas!

I started by using an Xcut snowflake bauble steel die,
the gorgeous papers are from First edition 'The promise'
collection and Dovecraft 'Curiosity corner' paper pad.

Once the bauble had been completed, I then created
a collage of embellishments.

Here, I have used an M & C boutique floral leaves
cutting die, wooden Holly embellishments,
pearl white stamens and a poinsettia
created with a Sue Wilson filigree poinsettia die.

I have really enjoyed making this!

Here a few extra photos of my Christmas tree decor
that I also wanted to share with you.
I came across these beautiful french glass baubles
and just had to have them...
well, why not? sometimes you just have
to treat yourself!

Thanks so much for stopping by,
see you on the next post.

Silent night

Hello lovely friends,
hope you are well!

Today, I am sharing with you a recent
vintage Christmas tag that I have made.

Here I have used beautiful papers from
First edition 'The promise' paper pad
and Docrafts 'Festive fauna' paper collection.

Once all the layers of paper had been adhered,
I then chose this delightful vintage image to
complete the look of my tag.

Here I have used a Die'sire 'snow is falling'
die to create these beautiful snowflakes,
and I added DecoArt Glamour dust to give
them some super sparkle!

Finally, I used the Marianne collectables
Christmas village decoration set to create this
snowy scene of Christmas trees and this darling little dear;
which have been embossed using a Tim Holtz
Regal texture fades embossing folder.

I just love the snowy scene and the vintage nostalgia!

Victorian beauty

Hi lovely friends,
hope you are well!

Today, I am sharing with you, a dreamy Victorian themed
altered art tag that I have made.

This beautiful paper is a soft Periwinkle colour and
is from the Craft & You Rose garden paper pad.

I thought the words
"Always act like you are wearing an invisible crown"
fitted this lady's expression perfectly!

Old Father Christmas

Hello again friends,
hope you are well!

Today I am sharing with you another
vintage Christmas tag that I have made recently.

Here I have used text paper from
Dovecraft Curiosity corner paper pad
and paper from Docrafts festive fauna paper pad.

Once I had adhered the layers of paper onto my tag,
I then added this gorgeous vintage
Father Christmas image.

Finally, I added a collage of white holly
leaves and a poinsettia made using
the Sue Wilson filigree poinsettia die.

This little darling deer is from the Christmas
village decoration set.

Thanks for stopping by,

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Hello lovely friends,
hope you are well!

I can't believe that Christmas is only
eight days away! I'm so looking
forward to sharing the festivities
with my wonderful children.

I just LOVE the idea of an Olde world
Christmas and the nostalgia that
goes along with it. There's just something
so magical about it all; Rewind to the days
when the holidays seemed less commercialised.

I wanted to create some vintage theme tags
that embodied the feeling of that Old-time world.

I started to make this tag with a black and white
theme in mind to match the beautiful image of
these two little Angels.

I have used cheese cloth and a wooden Reindeer
embellishment, which I distressed with white acrylic paint.

The victorian lamp-post steel die is from
the Marianne collectables Christmas village
decoration set.

I have used paper from my own
craft stash, to create a layered effect.

Finally, I added the words
"It's beginning to look like Christmas"
and adhered a large snowflake that I created
using an Xcut snow crystal palm punch.
I also added my favourite DecoArt glamour dust
crystal ultra fine Iridescent glitter to give the
snowflake lots of sparkle!

I really hope that you like my altered tag?
I had so much fun making it!

Please check out my other Christmas tags on my blog..

A good heart!

Hello lovely friends,
hope you are well!

Here is an altered art tag that I have recently made.

I wanted to create something vibrant,
so I have used a soft green and magenta
colour combination.

Here I have used a collage of papers from
my own craft stash.

I adhered this delightful fairy image
and matching heart embellishment made
from the same floral paper on the tag.

Finally, I added the words
"No beauty shines brighter than that
of a good heart"

Thanks for stopping by,
see you on the next post.
