Joy

Hello lovelies, hope you are well! Today I am sharing a lovely vintage Christmas card that I have created for this months challenge over at Sparkles Christmas challenges  The theme is 'Christmas flowers/foliage'.

Please carry on reading to see how I created my card:

I first took a blank piece of pre-scored kraft card stock and then adhered these beautiful papers from my my porch prnts. I have distressed all edges of the papers with vintage photo distress ink.

Next, I adhered this wonderful image from the graphics fairy. You can find so many great free images over there to print for personal use.

Here I have used a vintage music sheet along with a Poinsettia die. I have used vintage photo distress ink on the edges of the Poinsettia to make the flower look aged.

To finish my card,  I have adhered a small piece of washi tape and a word label.

I really hope that I have inspired you to make you own vintage Christmas card and hope that you will enter the challenge!

Thinking of you

Hello lovelies, hope you are well! Tonight I am sharing a card that I have created using this darling child and bunny image from Pinterest.

To create my card I first started with some pre-scored kraft card stock. Next, with double sided tape I adhered this lovely coffee & script paper. I have distressed the edges of the paper with vintage photo distress ink.

Using my fiskars paper trimmer I cut a piece of book page  and adhered it to the left side of my card. Next, I tore some corrugated card stock, which I painted lightly with white paint. I then dried it with a heat tool. Next, I fixed the panel of card onto my card using two brass coloured brads. I have used vintage photo distress ink on all edges of card and paper. I then adhered the image using double sided tape and pop dots to give it some dimension.

Finally, I typed out a word label and adhered it to the bottom right of my card.

I hope that I have inspired you to create your own vintage card. Thank you so much for stopping by the Den, I really appreciate your visit and kind comments!

Steampunk doggo card

Hello lovelies, hope you are well! Today I am sharing another card that I have created. This one is a Steampunk theme! I love vintage and steampunk.... oh and dogs; so these three elements are a perfect combo!

To create my card I have used this wonderful steampunk dog image and collage paper from Weathered Textures. I have also used a few layers of vintage advert washi tape and a perpetual calendar.
I have also used this wonderful astrological wax seal stamp along with gold wax.

To finish my card I have adhered a vintage Grunge label.

I hope that I have inspired you to create your own steampunk card. Thank you so much for stopping by the Den, I really appreciate your visit and kind comments!

Old Crone Halloween card

Hello lovelies, hope you are well! After months of being AWOL, I am finally back creating art again! I just want to say a HUGE thank you to all my friends and followers of my blog for continuing to still visit here and for leaving your lovely comments. It truly means so much to me.

So, here it is, my first Halloween card of the year!.....

One of my lovely friends, Kim Rayko has opened her wonderful Etsy shop, 'Conjurer of Dreams'. Here you can find such beautiful digital images, including this old Crone/Witch image that I have used for this card.

To create this card, I have used plain black card stock, and these beautiful papers from the Winter scrapbook and the vintage scrapbook sets from Manu Design Studio. I have also used a vintage black bingo card  and Halloween journal word label  from Etsy.

Finally I adhered the Crone image and some bat die cuts.

I also create a mini card using the same papers and Crone image.

To finish my card, I added some frayed cheese cloth and a moon and stars gold wax seal.

I hope that I have inspired you to create your own Halloween cards. Thank you so much for stopping by the Den, I really appreciate your visit and kind comments!

Every emotion has a story to tell

Hello lovelies, hope you are well! Boy! it's been a minute since I last posted anything here and since I created something. I have been struggling with some health problems and struggling to find the mind set to actually sit down and design. Something, as you know, is what I love to do.

I am surrounded by all my craft stash, but nothing helped to actually create something for a couple of months.
So today I finally switched on my laptop and designed a digital piece of art; I wanted to create something that describes how I am actually feeling....

Original artwork; Artist unknown
