Dapper dogs! - a new addition!

Hello lovely friends, hope you are well! Today I am sharing with you two vintage tags that I have made. I love doggos and have always wanted one to complete my family, but circumstances with where I was living, did not allow me to have any pets. But I am excited to announce that there is now a new addition to my family. Our gorgeous Princess came to live with us three weeks ago and she has settled in just perfectly! We have so much love and time to give her and I just adore her! Please scroll down if you would like to see more photographs of her..

 Our newest family member.

I found these fabulous vintage images and have used them to make two art tags.

I have used this lovely paper from Raspberry Road Designs

I started with two plain white tags cut from basic cardstock and adhered the paper using double-sided tape. I distressed the edges of the paper using a distressing tool and Ground Espresso distress oxide.

Next, I added some corrugated cardboard, distressed with ground espresso distress oxide. The main image has been adhered with double-sided tape and pop dots.

Finally, I fussy cut some Bumble Bee clipart and added them to the tag.

Here are some more photos of my doggo:

New TTCRD challenge

Hello lovely friends, I have some very exciting news to share with you! I am so honoured and delighted to be a part of 'Through the craft room door" Design Team. There's a new weekly challenge over on their blog. The sponsors this week are Gecko Galz and here is a little bio about them:

Gecko Galz is a digital craft product shop that was started by a group of paper artists and designers who wanted products that they could not find anywhere else. They wanted to bring their love of paper arts and altered artworks to others and inspire them with beautiful papers, stamps and ephemera. The idea of Gecko Galz came to fruition in 2012 when they opened their shop on Etsy and since then have offered hundreds of products, ideas and classes to others world-wide.

The prize of this challenge is each winner will receive a $25 shopping spree with Gecko Galz at their Etsy shop.

Here is an altered tag that I have made for this challenge

Thanks so much for stopping by, see you on the next post, hugs Zowie xx

I have loved the stars too fondly...

Hello lovely friends, hope you are well! Today I am sharing my DT creation for the Crafts Dreamy anything goes challenge.

Here I have created an altered envelope. I wanted to make something completely different this time! I have used the beautiful Great Horned Owl digital stamp set from our proud sponsors:

To start, I took a small brown paper envelope and adhered these beautiful papers onto the front. I have also distressed the edges with Walnut Stain Distress ink.

These gorgeous coffee toned papers are from Manu design studio over on Etsy.

I also added this wooden texture designer paper from  ClaireTale.

Once all layers had been adhered on to the front of the envelope, I then used a star layering stencil along with Decoart Media modelling paste.

Here is a close up photo of this delightful pre-coloured Horned Owl digital stamp.

Here is a video on my Youtube channel.

Next, I fussy cut the quote stamp that came in the same digital set and inked the edges using Walnut stain distress ink.

To finish my project, I added the pre-coloured leaf digital stamp. Thanks so much for stopping by. See you on the next post, hugs Zowie xx

Design Team creations for Linda Israel - Radiant Red collection

Hello lovely friends, hope you are well! Today I am sharing with you my Design Team project made for Linda Israel using her stunning Radiant Red collection.

I am so honoured and excited to be part of Linda Israels' fabulous Design Team.

Here I have made a mini loaded folio, which is super easy to make!

I started with a plain gold pre-scored card and adhered these beautiful papers from the collection using double sided tape. I also distressed the edges of the paper using my scissors and Vintage photo Distress ink.

On the front cover I used a Tim Holtz diamond layering stencil along with Decoart media modelling paste. Once dry, I then added some Picket fence distress paint. I then adhered this beautiful image and poppies from the Radiant Red collection.

There is also a video on my Youtube channel:

On the inside of my mini folio, I have used some more papers from the collection.

I have also decorated the back cover.

Here are some of the beautiful tags from the collection which I added to the inside of the folio.
