Victorian layout

Hello lovelies, hope you are keeping well! Today I am sharing a Victorian layout that I have created using my freebie vintage images. Please feel free to use them in your artwork, but please do not sell them as a digital collage sheet etc (but please use them in your finished creation to sell if you wish to!)

If you do use my images I would be grateful if you could leave a link back to my blog. It would also be lovely to see what you have created using them and I'd love to visit your blog, so please feel free to leave your link in the comment section below, thank you!

Thank you so much for stopping by the Den, I really appreciate your visit and kind comments!

A shabby chic Christmas

Hello lovely friends, hope you are well! As you probably know by now, I love anything that is vintage and shabby chic! This year I have bought a new Christmas tree and lots of vintage ornaments; there will be a separate post on that soon, so would love for you to stop by and visit!

Todays Christmas tag is very shabbylicious! I wanted to use a light pink and blue colour scheme, so this is what I created. These beautiful papers are from NostalgieGrafikland

Once I had chosen my paper to compliment this lovely vintage image, I took a strip of corrugated cardboard, which I previously painted with white acrylic paint.

I adhered all layers of paper onto a piece of blank white card stock using double sided tape and inked all edges with Vintage Photo Distress ink.

I created a Winter flower collage using a Tattered Lace Poinsettia die and Holly and Fern dies from the Tim Holtz Holiday Greens.

I have used Viva Decor 3D snow on the edges of the Poinsettia and snowflake die cuts.  Picket Fence Distress paint has been applied to random parts of the tag to give a snowy effect. Lastly I added a 'Merry Christmas' sentiment which I adhered behind the main image.

Thanks so much for stopping by, I really appreciate your visit! See you on the next post,
hugs Zowie xx

Victorian Angels

Hello lovely friends, hope you are well!

Today I am sharing two artist trading cards that I have made, inspired by this Pink Mood Board that I designed myself. I love creating Mood boards! and I will try to incorporate this into my makes over the next few days. You are more than welcome to use this and I would love to see what you make! (please let me know in the comments below, so that I can visit your blog) and all I ask is, please give me a quick mention and a link back to my blog if you decide to use it for inspiration.

To make my tag, I have used these gorgeous shabby chic papers from Lemoncraft 'Yesterday' paper collection and I have also used these delightful victorian Angel images.

I wanted to make something quick and easy, so this time I decided to make ATC's
 instead of larger tags.

I cut two pieces of white card stock, measured at 2.5 inches x 3.5 inches. I inked the edges of the card with Vintage Photo distress ink, then adhered the layers of paper onto the front of the card stock.
( I previously distressed them using the edge of my scissors and the same Distress ink)

I have used the same technique on both ATC's. I used a Marianne Creatables Victorian Lamp post and Deer die from the Christmas village decoration set and I also adhered cheesecloth and sisal underneath. The star is an Xcut mini die, which I added Stardust Stickles to, to give them some extra Christmas sparkle!

Finally I added Stardust Stickles to the Lamp post and Picket fence Distress paint
to the deer and on certain places of the ATC.

Thanks so much for stopping by, I really appreciate all your comments and will always reply to them! Have a great week!

  Hugs, Zowie xx
