Altered Index card - Vintage debonair

Alice in Wonderland altered Tarot cards

Hello lovely friends, hope you are well!

Today I am sharing with you, some altered 'Alice In Wonderland' Tarot cards that I made recently. They were a gift to my daughter, as she loves Alice! 

I found these freebie Tarot card labels online and I purchased these gorgeous Alice digital images from Etsy.

I started off with plain black cardstock for the base of my Tarot cards.

I then decorated each one using blue and white harlequin paper and torn book pages.

Each Tarot card has been created using a different image and paper collage elements.I have also printed some Alice quotes and used them to match the images. All edges have been distressed using Tim Holtz Vintage photo distress ink.

Altered vintage Diary

Hello lovely friends, hope you are well!

Here in the UK we are having such glorious hot weather; usually our British summers only last a few days, once a year and then it's back to miserable cold, wet weather!

As you have probably guessed by now, I love anything nautical...what can I say, I just love the Ocean! Today I am sharing with you, a Diary that I have altered; I needed a new one, so this was a craft project that I thoroughly enjoyed making.

I started out with a just a plain ordinary Diary, which I purchased from my local stationary store. Next, I grabbed lots of my craft stash items and got to work! 

Here, I have used a variety of digital Scrapbook paper, cardboard packaging and a beautiful vintage image. Once adhered to the front cover of the diary, I then used Tim Holtz 

Picket fence distress paint to give a shabby chic effect.

Next, I added lots of embellishments; which include, a 'Fisherman's net' Fantasy metal die, cheesecloth, a silver-tone ships wheel charm and a fussy cut Seahorse, which have all been lightly brushed with Picket fence distress paint and Vintage photo distress ink.

I then tied vintage cream lace through some of the metal binding on the side of the diary.

Finally, I added some silver-tone metal charms to the elastic closure.

Here is a close up of the metal charms, which include a gorgeous Seahorse shaped key, a fantasy Mermaid, an anchor and shell, which again, have been distressed with Picket fence distress paint.

From this day forward

Hello lovely friends, hope you are well!

I can't believe that we are two weeks into June already, this year is just flying by!
June is typically the start of Wedding season over here in the UK and I do love a good wedding.. combine that with a vintage theme, well, that is just perfection!

For this Months challenge, I was excited to go all out vintage and shabby chic! so I have created this shaped easel card. I recently bought a set of  X-cut square parentheses nesting dies and these were perfect in creating this shaped card.

I purchased this beautiful Antique bride digital photograph from The Artisans Shoppe

 Here I have used gorgeous papers from Lemoncraft 'Yesterday' collection and I created a flower collage using Mulberry roses and sweetheart blossom in shades of white and soft pink.White glass stamens, white meadow spray and a 'branch of seals' Fantasy die have also been used. Finally, I adhered Ivory heart cabochons and a soft pink fussy cut butterfly, embellished with Ivory pearls.

Here is a side view of my easel card, I really hope that you like it? I had a lot of fun making this and using the new X-cut die for the first time!

Nautical tag tutorial (Let your dreams set sail)

Hello lovely friends, hope you are well!

Today, I am sharing a step by step tutorial of how I made my vintage nautical tags, for my challenge blog Crafts Dreamy

To make this tag, I started with a blank piece of white card stock measuring 5 1/4 " x 3 1/4" 

I then inked the edges with Tim Holtz Vintage photo distress ink.

Next, I chose this beautiful Vintage Sailor boy image to use as a focal point on my tag.

I have used these beautiful digital papers Denim and Diamonds 

and some torn cardboard for added interest.

I used Vintage photo distress ink on all edges and Picket fence distress paint to highlight certain areas on my tag and the cardboard piece to give a more shabby, vintage look to everything.

I have also stamped certain areas of the paper using a Kaisercraft texture background stamp and vintage photo distress ink. 

Once everything had been adhered using double sided tape and pop dots (under the photo) I then added a little more of the Picket fence distress paint.

Finally, I adhered some cheese cloth and a fussy cut Anchor embellishment to the right side of the tag. I have also added a quote 'let your dreams set sail'.

Dreaming of the Ocean

As a self-confessed Thalassophile, I love the Ocean! I dream of living, one day, in a quaint little cottage that overlooks the Sea... that would be my idea of Heaven on Earth.
