BOO!

Hello lovelies, hope you are well! Today I am sharing two cute and simple Halloween cards that I have created for this months challenge over at Sparkles monthly challenges  The theme is  'Things that go bump in the night'!

I was pondering to design something more darker and spookier for Halloween, but I wanted to go with a cute theme this time! Here is how I created my card:

To start, I took a piece of pre-scored plain black card stock, Next I printed this orange scrapbook paper from eyeinspire . Using black soot distress ink and a Kaiser kraft background clear stamp I stamped all over the orange paper to give it some grunge interest.

Next, I adhered this lovely cobweb design scrapbook paper. I have also used vintage photo distress ink to distress all edges of paper.

Here I have used a lovely Halloween bingo card which matches these papers perfectly.

I adhered this on to the middle of my card using double sided tape. I love using altered bingo cards in my designs, they give an extra element to work with!

Finally, I adhered this darling fussy cut ghostie image and printed out some word labels.

Here I have created two cards using the same papers.

I have also printed out and adhered some more word labels.

I really hope that I have inspired you to make you own cute Halloween cards and hope that you will enter the challenge!

Thanks so much for stopping by the Den, I really appreciate your visit and kind comments!

Civil War card - Forever

Hello lovelies, hope that you are keeping safe and well? Today I am sharing an American Civil War card that I have created. There will be a list of the items that I used at the bottom of the page:

To start, I chose my papers, Bingo card and photo that I wanted to create my card with.

Next, I rounded the corners of my paper with this punch and distressed the edges with Black Soot Distress ink.

Here I have also rounded the corners of my kraft card base, I then adhered the first sheet of paper using double sided tape.

I repeated the process with the second layer of paper.

Next, I rounded the corners of the photograph and inked all ephemera with Black soot DI.

Finally, I layered the bingo card and photo on to the front of my card and adhered the ephemera pieces. Thanks so much for stopping by, see you on the next post! Hugs, Zowie x

Winter Wishes- Artsystamper DT creations

Hello lovelies, Happy New Year, I hope you are well! Today I am sharing my DT creations for Artsystamper. There's a brand new challenge over on their blog and the winner will receive a fabulous prize from the Artsystamper shop.

I have created three designs using the Wintry paper pack and beautiful Snow Birds  digital stamp set, I just adore these darling birds!

For my first two creations, I have made some faux glassine bags from tracing paper {so easy!} I may do a future tutorial on how I made these!

Here I have used a vintage Bingo card and a torn page from a vintage French dictionary that I purchased from a thrift store! Next, I adhered this beautiful pre-coloured Chickadee from the stamp set.

For this faux glassine bag, I have created it as the one above, but have used the wonderful Blue Jay stamp from the stamp set.

For this card, I have used the Chickadee stamp once more; I JUST love him! I printed this winter scene photo which was free from Pixabay. and designed the whole card around it! I have also used the White pine cone paper from the paper set and a strip of corrugated card that I painted with White acrylic paint to compliment the photograph.

Here I have adhered some snowflake dies that have been sprinkled with Deco Art Glamour dust. They are SO sparkly! I also printed out the words 'Winter Wonderland'.

Finally, I adhered two Christmas tree dies from white and cream cardstock. I ran them through an embossing folder to give them some more detail. I have also added 3D snow to the tips of the branches. To Finish my card I have adhered the Chickadee stamp on top of the trees.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I really appreciate your visit! Hugs, Zowie xx
