A shabby chic Christmas

Hello lovely friends, hope you are well! As you probably know by now, I love anything that is vintage and shabby chic! This year I have bought a new Christmas tree and lots of vintage ornaments; there will be a separate post on that soon, so would love for you to stop by and visit!

Todays Christmas tag is very shabbylicious! I wanted to use a light pink and blue colour scheme, so this is what I created. These beautiful papers are from NostalgieGrafikland

Once I had chosen my paper to compliment this lovely vintage image, I took a strip of corrugated cardboard, which I previously painted with white acrylic paint.

I adhered all layers of paper onto a piece of blank white card stock using double sided tape and inked all edges with Vintage Photo Distress ink.

I created a Winter flower collage using a Tattered Lace Poinsettia die and Holly and Fern dies from the Tim Holtz Holiday Greens.

I have used Viva Decor 3D snow on the edges of the Poinsettia and snowflake die cuts.  Picket Fence Distress paint has been applied to random parts of the tag to give a snowy effect. Lastly I added a 'Merry Christmas' sentiment which I adhered behind the main image.

Thanks so much for stopping by, I really appreciate your visit! See you on the next post,
hugs Zowie xx

I would like to enter this tag into the following challenges:

  7. My favorite fest! Eagerly wait for the day whole year! This month is seriously lucky. My brother got married last week at one of the alluring Seattle Wedding venues with pomp and show. Vases and crystal hangings all over were cute. Will share the pictures soon. Quality caterers and bakers were hired with bourbon as well as mixed variety drinks.
