Victorian Angels

Hello lovely friends, hope you are well!

Today I am sharing two artist trading cards that I have made, inspired by this Pink Mood Board that I designed myself. I love creating Mood boards! and I will try to incorporate this into my makes over the next few days. You are more than welcome to use this and I would love to see what you make! (please let me know in the comments below, so that I can visit your blog) and all I ask is, please give me a quick mention and a link back to my blog if you decide to use it for inspiration.

To make my tag, I have used these gorgeous shabby chic papers from Lemoncraft 'Yesterday' paper collection and I have also used these delightful victorian Angel images.

I wanted to make something quick and easy, so this time I decided to make ATC's
 instead of larger tags.

I cut two pieces of white card stock, measured at 2.5 inches x 3.5 inches. I inked the edges of the card with Vintage Photo distress ink, then adhered the layers of paper onto the front of the card stock.
( I previously distressed them using the edge of my scissors and the same Distress ink)

I have used the same technique on both ATC's. I used a Marianne Creatables Victorian Lamp post and Deer die from the Christmas village decoration set and I also adhered cheesecloth and sisal underneath. The star is an Xcut mini die, which I added Stardust Stickles to, to give them some extra Christmas sparkle!

Finally I added Stardust Stickles to the Lamp post and Picket fence Distress paint
to the deer and on certain places of the ATC.

Thanks so much for stopping by, I really appreciate all your comments and will always reply to them! Have a great week!

  Hugs, Zowie xx

Dreaming of Christmas

Hello lovely friends, hope you are well!

Today I am sharing with you a vintage Christmas tag that I have created for the

I cannot believe we are already into the month of November and soon Christmas will be upon us...I am so excited for the holidays! Here is the lovely Mood Board that inspired me to make my Winter Wonderland tag.

To make this, I chose some beautiful wood design wallpaper (wallpaper is really great to add to any of your craft projects; it gives a totally different finished look!) This was a free sample from my local high street shop Wilkinsons. I have also used some grey snowflake patterned paper from the Love to Craft  'vintage Noelle' paper stash. (it looks like it has a slight purplish tone to it in this light, so apologies for that.) I also dug out some Snowflake and Christmas tree die cuts that I blinged up last year, using Decoart crystal glamour dust.

Here, I adhered them to the bottom of the tag along with some frayed cheese cloth and some pieces of sisal.

Next, I used this gorgeous vintage image and I also adhered the snowflakes to the top right hand corner of my tag.

Merry and Bright

Hello lovely friends, hope you are well!

It's been a minute since I last blogged, but I am back with a vintage Christmas tag that I have made this evening. I just adore this beautiful sweet photo!
Please carry on reading for more details on how I created my tag...

Here I have used these beautiful wintry tone papers in hues of blush pink and light grey from the First Edition 'The promise' paper stack. I must say that it is one of my all time favourite paper stacks and I love using it for winter themed creations as well as weddings.

I also used some torn cardboard, which I distressed using
Tim Holtz Picket fence Distress paint. The vintage photo is from Ireland Rose Studios.

Once I had adhered all the layers of paper onto a piece of white card stock, I then distressed them using Tim Holtz Ground Espresso distress oxide. Next, I have used these beautiful die cuts; I added some Starlight Stickles to create a bit of Christmas sparkle!

These snowflakes have been created using an Xcut snowflake punch and Deco art crystal Glamour dust.. which is another favourite product of mine, the sparkle is so beautiful!

A couple of close-up photos.

It's so nice to be back, 'hope you like my tag!

Thanks so much for stopping by, I really do appreciate your visit.

See you on the next post,

hugs Zowie xx
